WAR

And so, my fellow Americans: ask not what your country can do for you - ask what you can do for your country.
My fellow citizens of the world: ask not what America will do for you but what together we can do for the freedom of man. - John F. Kennedy

Recently, I have been broken and passionate about the sex trafficing going on all around. Girls like me being sold... I just cant even grasp it! And to think my eyes are ever focused on myself while these girls are wondering if they will survive really hurts my heart!WAR International, Women At Risk, helps these girls find safe houses where they can run to and be free! Becky, the founder, came to speak for an event at our church and then later came to our house... my friend and I were able to talk to her about many things going on. This IS slavery, in my eyes it is worse than any other possible thing.

Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a man commits are outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body. - 1 Corinthians 6:18

This is a BIG deal to God.

He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God. - Micah 6:8

Be just and merciful! I know that I need a lot of mercy from Jesus, but I need to give the mercy that I expect from him... be kind to these girls. The best thing to do? Give little compliments to someone you see hurting.. it could make all the difference! For while there are many cases when girls are taken from their families the girls in the states are looking for love... in all the wrong places. Pray for our sisters in these situations, cry out to God on their behalf!

Just Say Thank You!

Today is a day that we should all be thankful for those who serve our great country so that we may have the freedom that many people don't have! Its the Marine birthday... and just recently I've realized how I almost never stop to thank the people I see in uniform. What's almost worse than that is when I came this realization and started to thank everyone for serving our country (people in the military, firefighters, policemen) they are almost surprised. The fact that they are surprised to be thanked and pratically taken of gaurd hurts me because I see that they are not thanked as much as they should be. If someone is going to risk their life for my safety I should thank them. Anyways, please thank those that protect us and our beautiful, free country! :)

My First! :D

I have decided to start blogging! :) Hopefully I can do a good job of keeping you guys updated on my life well! Anyways, right now I am 'working' on school... :-/ Life is for the most part crazy... and full.
My family and I just got home from our first official 'trip' across the world... to China! God did pretty amazing things as far as just giving me a heart for the people of that country... While they are so impovished they still somehow have an incredible amount of joy. They seem to be close knit with their family and have the basic things they need... all except for Jesus. I know there is an amazing underground church there but for the 21 million people in Shanghai and 17 million in Beijing ( major cities we visited ) there are alot of people lacking a Savior.
Most of my observation was that their god was money- especially with the 'capitalism' going on. It's how much you spend and all that money making bussiness.. I mean money is what pays the bills but its not to be anything more than that.
Thats something I've been learning lately... Jesus says that we worship either money or God.. not both. I know that if I were to loose everything I am in a place that I will completely trust Him with my all!
Anyways this is the main thing that stuck out to me... :D
